How To Get Your Ex Back - Dealing With A Breakup

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

You’ve had a painful break up and the time you’ve spent broken up is excruciating. The only thing you can think about night and day is him, either while your bawling or being mad and stomping around. Your friends have tried to get you to go out on dates with other men but none of them are as good as your ex and you know deep in your heart that he is the only man for you. You’ve decided that you must figure out how to get your ex back, at all cost, and you know it will work out if you can just give it one more chance. However you need a bit of help figuring out how to get your ex back and a bit of support from your friends.

Remember that during the break up and afterwards you most likely said some things you regret. Your friends probably agreed with you or even added fuel to the fire, either way plenty of harsh words have been said. Before you try to get your ex back it is probably a good idea to let your friends know what your intentions are. Let your friends know how much their support meant to you during that horrible time in your life and that you were very angry and said some things you didn’t mean but that he really is the only man for you and their continued support is really needed.

Being your friends, they will agree whole heartedly and do whatever it takes to help you get back with your ex. Yeah, right! They will have a fit and ask if you have lost your mind completely! After the initial shock, they will come around though.

Now you need to figure out why it is that you even want to get back together with you ex. Are you still in love and miss him, or do you not like to be alone? Did you have a couple of dates not go so well and it’s comfortable being with your boyfriend? Are you afraid that you will never find someone to love again? This is really important and you need to be very truthful with yourself because what ever problems you had when you were dating are still going to exist. There is no magic wand to wave to make everything better.

It is very important to consider everything before you move ahead with your plan. If you broke up while in the middle of a heated debated then that is one thing, but if you broke up because of a few habits of his that you simply could not stand, then the dating and breaking up cycle will probably continue and you will repeatedly get hurt. It also never hurts to remember that the grass is always greener on the other side.

Do you know if your ex is still single? If the break up was because of infidelity, trying to get him back from the woman he left you for is sad, pathetic and fodder for countless country songs. The old saying “you lose a man the same way you got him” is repeated so often because it is painfully true. If you started a relationship with a man who is supposed to be committed, do you honestly think he will not eventually cheat on you too? If he is not single, then sit yourself down and ask: am I looking for love or revenge?

If he is still single, and you still want to pursue getting him back then you have to realize that nothing has really changed. The problems you had before are still going to be there. If you are not willing to talk about what was wrong, then you are not ready to work out your differences. In order to clear the air, make a list of the problems and see if you are able to compromise.

If you can compromise then take it one step at a time, very slowly. Act as if he is someone new and relearn about him an what made you fall in love in the first place. This time around you will be more aware of the things that you don’t particularity love. Be sure to talk about them before they start to get bigger. Try not to get caught up in the rush of familiarity, and like always, make sure you think with your head as opposed to your heart.

Quit Smoking April Fool’s Joke?

Join and Support us in our Anti-Smoking Campaign by giving support and encouragements to those who are trying to quit smoking or your personal pledge to quit smoking in 2009.  For further details go to Healthy Times Magazine Anti-Smoking Campaign here.

Did you read the news last week that with effect from 1 April 2009, there will be a large federal tax hike on tobacco products in USA?

Will this tax hike have all smokers digging deeper into their pockets to fund their smoking habit?  Isn’t the current economic situation bad enough that people are skimping on every penny and yet there is a hike to tobacco products?

The tax increase is USD 62 cents. That is an incredible increase of 158%!

This brings the total tax on a pack of cigarettes up to USD 1.01 all over America.  Areas that already having high tobacco taxes will be paying as much as USD 10 - USD 12 per pack of cigarettes.

Learn how you can quit smoking habit in just 38 minutes & 13 seconds…..

If you have the habit of smoking a pack a day, if you do your sums properly, you can expect to spend as much as USD 360 a month on cigarettes.

Imagine if there are more than one smoker in your household.

Let say there are 5 smokers in a household of 7 people.  With USD 360 spend a month per person, you can expect a total monthly expenditure of USD 1,800 just on cigarettes alone.

This figure is startling!  It will definitely cause a huge “hole” in the pocket.

In the current depressing economy we are all living in today, is the tax hike justifiable?

Will this new hike be a tipping point for smokers to quit in droves?

Please leave share your comments and feedback.  We love to hear from you.

A number of people who take a “breath of fresh air” at work when stressed end up taking a smoking break.  The fact that smoking is not conducive for indoor environments makes it convenient for smokers to have a puff while they are out of the office, even in the great outdoors.
