Dr Susan Evans, a pelvic and laproscopic surgeon was recently in Singapore to give a talk on Endometriosis. A co-founder of the Asia Pacific Endometriosis Alliance and co-founder of Australian Endometriosis Centre, Adelaine Branch, she has the following information to share…..
Endometriosis is a silent and distressing disease and it’s one of the least talked about and understood condition of our time. It is not life threatening, but it’s definitely a “quality of life” threatening condition.
According to Dr Evans, most people know endometriosis is a condition that can cause infertility, but the most common symptom is pain. Pain with periods, pain with sex, pain opening the bowels and/or pelvic pain on most days of the month.
