Traveling the mainland the last couple weeks from New York to California, I noticed an increase of public smoking everywhere. Understanding that nicotine is an anti-depressant, I wondered how much of an effect the economic down turn is having on the health of people.

Stress is a killer. So are cigarettes. So many people struggling not to down financially right now. But trading mental health for physical health is like playing Russian Roulette.

Thanks for being there to give an assist to folks. I do believe it’s time to stop treating the smokers like criminals. Give some compassion and support them to lead a healthier life. We all know those cigarettes contain many more addictive chemicals than we can spell.

Let’s encourage quitting smoking in a supportive way.
