Smoking HOT SEX Life

Smoking affects every part of the body and sexual health is no exception. A study done in US that showed smokers only had sex 5.7 times per month but non-smokers had sex 11.6 times in the same period. In the same study, smokers rated their satisfactory with their sex life a 5.2 on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being “extremely satisfactory” but non-smokers rated their sex-life an 8.7.

According to Dr Tan Thiam Chye, an obstetricianand gynaecologist at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, men who smoke are likely to have poorer sperm quality than non-smokers. Smoking may impair spermatogenesis due to various hormonal alternations caused by tobacco smoke. Toxic substances from cigarette may end up in the seminal plasma and affect the sperm quality. The result is smoker’s sperm comes in many abnormal shape sizes, like two heads or tails, larger or smaller head and some have their tails split. In addition, smoker’s sperm cells, on average are 20 percent less motile than non-smoker’s. Cigarette smoking also affects hormone concentrations in men and reduces blood flow to the penis. This can result in erectile dysfunction or impotence.

“There is no wonder drug that will improve a smoker’s libido,” Dr Tan said. His advice for smokers is to subscribe to a healthy lifestyle, which means quitting smoking and taking up activities such as exercises that will help to improve libido.
