Weight Loss – How To Lose Weight Without Going on a Diet
Almost everyone know that one of the ways to loose weight is through dieting. However, almost all of us who started on a diet never manage to keep it.
There is good news. You can actually lose weight not by dieting but by making a few “changes” to your daily routine and food intake.
Limit your beverage drinking to only one cup or one glass
Beverages like soft drink, coffee, iced tea are some of the beverages that contain thousands of calories. Instead drink plenty of water, herbal tea, diet soda or bottled water with lemon or lime. If you love drinking your beverage, add extra ice in your glass/cup and you will end up drinking “less” of your favourite beverage.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated
Do you know that thirst can always be mistaken for hunger?
You could end up reading for food when in actual fact you are thirsty. So, it is highly recommended that drinking six to eight 8 ounce glasses of water each day. Sip water throughout the day and you may be surprised to find that your appetite seems much tamer. Another good tip to stay hydrated is to eat water-rich fruits.
Do not skip your breakfast
Eating breakfast helps you reduce in overeating during the day. Going too long without eating may also cause your metabolism to slow down.
Eat salad or fruits before eating main meal
If you practice doing this before eating main dishes, it almost help to prevent you from overeating. Always remember that fiber takes a while to digest so you feel fuller longer after eating it, which will help you eat less in the long run.
Avoid refined carbohydrates
Whole grains help a person feel full longer. Fiber rich cereal, brown rice, whole grain bread or whole wheat crackers are some of the good ways to include grains in your daily diet.
Get enough sleep
Did you know that getting enough sleep can have a direct impact on a person’s ability to lose weight? Not getting enough sleep can make a person feel groggy, less energized. A person tend to eat more or make poor food choices in a effort to make up for feeling groggy or tired.
